HOLA!!
I am here! And i just now read my brothers blog and it seriously made me cry. I thought i was the only one that was the writer in the family, but wow Andy, you truly write so well! I am very very lucky to have my family and to have the support from them throughout my entire life...this journey to Costa Rica has made me realize more and more how amazing it is to have the love of family. Thank you Andyfor that blog...it warmed my heart beyond words.

My time in Costa Rica has been nothing short of amazing! I have already had some fun adventures. Went to a rodeo my first night here in Portrero and sat on the fence inches away from a massive bull, spent an hour trying to communicate with my host family, who is extremely nice, the dad actually ownes the internet cafe i am writing in right now. My first day of classes went well. I was completely lost while the profesora was rambling in spanish...i have the spanglish down but that is no mas here in Costa Rica! Spent the day at the resort by campus and watched the sunset on the beach with about 10 other travelers. The whole time I kept thinking how lucky i am to be here and experience this culture. I cant wait to continue down this road and create more memorable stories. Time to go eat dinner at mi casa and do homework. Buenas noches mi amigas y familia. I miss and love you all so much! xoxox!

    @ Lucy
I am so happy to hear that your adventures started off so quickly. Mom said that ironically you met up with Jamie coming out of her host families house...how funny. I miss you so much Lucy. Talk to you soon.

It's great to hear that you are enjoying the experience- we would love to live through you and enjoy it too. That means PICTURES-PICTURES-PICTURES- for those of us who are not as patient to read words. :-) I want pics of your host family, the house you are staying in, some pics of the area and the school classroom and English friend so I can visualize. Get on it Girl- I love you sooooo much.
    Love, Shelby :-)

I'm 25 and from San Clemente California. I consider myself a free spirit that loves taking risks, whether the outcome is positive or ends up a disaster, the risk is always worth it. I just recently made the decision to travel to Costa Rica for a few months and overwhelm my mind with its beautiful culture and language. I am leaving my job and taking a jump towards unpredictable, yet exciting, new experiences! I am so excited to start this new journey and know only great things will come from it!!
